  1. User enters standard information-resource metadata (creator information, keywords, geographical information, etc)
  2. User enters sensory data that captures specific metadata agreed upon by CAST and Digital Antiquity that captures all metdata that is not file-specific. Proposal that this would include the following sections of the ADS template:
    1. Survey / Project Level Metadata
  3. User uploads files associated with the resource
    1. One or more reference / display images / objects
    2. The complete set of scan files in .zip, .tar, or .tgz format. This includes:
      1. Raw scan data (ASCII point cloud format or possibly NATIVE scanner format depending on source)
      2. Registered dataset (ASCII point cloud format)
      3. Additional projects (could be mesh, CAD, etc...)
    3. A manifest file (XLS, tab-delimited, etc) which describes the contents of the zip file. This manifest could very well be contained within the zip file, though it would be harder to confirm it's existence. The manifest would include a number of basic components
    4. file name with full directory structure
    5. file description (coded) eg. SOURCE | DERIVATIVE ...
    6. other data as described 
  4. tDAR processes the zip file set, some tasks may include
    1. virus scan 
    2. pull out any images to use in thumbnails / view pages
    3. limit file content to approved file types
